I was given total creative freedom with this project. Channeling Ralph Steadman’s chaotic, expressive style into a fresh take on the classic playing card deck. I wanted to preserve the simplicity of a traditional deck so Ralph’s artwork could remain the clear focal point.
Produced by Art of Play with Flying Dog Brewery and visionary artist Ralph Steadman, the deck features all-original artwork printed on premium playing cards, including 18 classic Steadman paintings originally created for Flying Dog beer labels, custom face cards, and an ink-splattered back design, all housed in a letterpress-printed tuck box.
